Jon is an existing client of the SBDC. He came to Mark Malec seeking assistance with his business expansion ideas. Jon needed additional financing to expand his coffee shop. His plans were to renovate the space adjacent to his shop in an effort to expand his offerings to his clientele. Mark helped Jon develop a set of financial projections to submit to Tri-County Council in an effort to secure financing needed for those renovations. Jon submitted the application to TCC and was approved. He received $40,000 in May, 2018 from TCC and is currently renovating/remodeling the space to offer dining services and expand his hours of operation.
