Welcome to Maryland SBDC's Credit to Capital Program.

The Credit to Capital Program, offered through the Maryland SBDC, District of Columbia SBDC, and Virginia SBDC, helps entrepreneurs understand credit, strengthen their financial profile, and prepare to secure funding. 

The program will launch in March 2026.

How the Credit to Capital Program Works  

The Credit to Capital Program is funded in whole by the Federal State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), and awarded to the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO) by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Through asynchronous training and live business consulting, participants learn the fundamentals of credit, develop strategies to build and improve credit, and gain the tools needed to pursue financing from lenders, grants, or investors.

How It Works

After applying, you will be paired with an SBDC consultant who will complete an intake assessment and determine your eligibility for the program.
