Frostburg State University's Small Business Development Center (FSU) Legacy Business Transition Program is designed to assist, facilitate, and coordinate the ownership transition of existing businesses located within the I-68 Regional Alliance Corridor. (Bedford and Somerset Counties in PA, Allegany and Garrett Counties in MD and Mineral County in WV).
The transition may consist of the sell or purchase of an existing legacy business or an exit strategy with the goal of keeping the business open and ongoing to provide direct employment and continue the offering of goods and services to the local communities and regions.
For businesses located within the I-68 Regional Alliance Corridor (Bedford and Somerset Counties in PA, Allegany and Garrett Counties in MD and Mineral County in WV)
We will provide the following assistances for businesses that are looking to sell or establish an exit strategy with the goal of keeping the business opened and ongoing to provide direct employment and continue the offering of goods and services to the local communities and regions.
For individuals or organizations that are interested and purchasing an existing business located within the I-68 Regional Alliance Corridor (Bedford and Somerset Counties in PA, Allegany and Garrett Counties in MD and Mineral County in WV)
We will provide the following assistances with the goal of keeping the business opened and ongoing to provide direct employment and continue the offering of goods and services to the local communities and regions.
NOTE: Neither FSU nor SBDC will act as an agent of either the buyer or seller. The business owner will represent his or her business and the buyer will represent him or herself. All services provided by the FSU Small Business Development Center as part of the Legacy Business Transition Program are provided at no charge to the client. All information is confidential unless expressly authorized for disclosure by the client.
