IT Coordinator

The IT Coordinator provides help-desk support to the SBDC network, PTAC, and VBOC personnel. The IT Coordinator will directly interface with SBDC network specific software between UMCP, Salisbury University, Frostburg State University, College of Southern Maryland, and Harford Community College. The IT Coordinator is also responsible for implementing policies and best practices recommended by the Division of Information Technology (DIT) and advising the Research Coordinator and other members of the leadership team on the best means to meet campus, budget, and OMB restrictions.

Grant and Financial Coordinator

The Grant and Financial Coordinator performs a variety of grant accounting responsibilities requiring the application of federal, state, and university accounting theories and principles. This position independently examines a variety of budgets and financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and conformity with applicable policies, procedures, and requirements associated with subcontract administration. The Grant and Financial Coordinator also support pre – and post-award grant administration activities which include: reconciling accounts, processing journal entries, preparing financial reports, processing subcontractor invoices, and managing the SBDC’s procurement process.

The Grant and Financial Coordinator assists the Research Coordinator in the development of grant and finance processes; and preparation of applications or renewals of SBDC grants and contracts. This position will also develop and provide training on internal financial processes.
