Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is proud to share that Michael Steele, Owner of Motorbriiz, is the winner of the 2nd Annual Crab Pot Pitch. Crab Pot is a joint venture of the Southern Maryland Innovation and Technology (SMIT) meetup and PaxSpace. Crab Pot 2016 is a Southern Maryland Pitch Contest that was held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum.
Mr. Steele's innovation is a motorcycle chain oiler that is easy to install, easy to use, and environmentally friendly. The Motorbriiz oiler is powered by the most plentiful resource available to a motorcycle, the wind. By participating in Crab Pot and other technology based opportunities, Mr. Steele hopes to work towards a more expansive distribution channels. Mr. Steele is also aware that idea pitches are critical to the growth of any business, but especially startups. Pitches are used to make sales, obtain financing, and build relationships. By participating in this opportunity, Mr. Steele has developed, refined and perfected a pitch that can be used to grow his business.
