Sandy is a native western Pennsylvanian but has lived in several Maryland cities. She has over 15 years of experience starting and running small businesses, has a B.S. in biology/medical technology and worked in several clinical laboratories. She then got involved in the business side of health care and earned an MBA and then helped people create marketing materials in the health care field. She then began a direct mail advertising franchise. She has been buying and selling her own businesses for years, and then became a business broker to help others sell their businesses. She completed her Doctorate in Management at the University of Maryland University College.

Diane comes to us with an educational background having been a teacher and an administrator. Her educational background includes a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Having worked in real estate services and sales, Diane has a varied background of experiences that compliments the Training, Marketing, and Intake Coordinator position. She is setting up a variety of training classes to help business owners and future business owners.

Mark has been assisting business owners for over 28 years in a variety of service capacities. He has an MBA, and has taught several courses in the MBA program at Frostburg State University. He has owned his own consulting company, and has helped thousands in his specialty areas, which includes financing, planning, and marketing.

Brandon is a successful entrepreneur with deep experience in start-ups, technology, government, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Arts and Math)-related job growth. Brandon is passionate about the sustainable growth of downtown and rural communities as well as working with entrepreneurs to achieve their goals. He serves as the Regional Technology Liaison for Western Maryland as a result of his extensive knowledge of patent-based technologies.
Brandon supports economic growth through workshops, networking events, one-on-one counseling, and maximizing resources for clients. He also assists with obtaining SBA loans for clients to finance their business, helping with patents and technology transfer, and attracting new businesses to Frederick County while helping existing businesses to be more successful. His primary focus is promoting job creation, business starts, sales growth, and capital infusion for small businesses. Brandon holds a master's degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and a bachelors degree in Political Science focused on public policy from West Virginia University.

Jodi comes to us with a background in business and leadership. She has over 20 years’ experience managing and growing businesses. Jodi has operated a large dairy farm, growing this passion from being a sole proprietor into an LLC. Jodi is a Garrett County native. She earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. Jodi is an adjunct instructor at Frostburg State University teaching management courses such as New Business Ventures. Jodi has a unique background as she has worked within the medical field, business profession and has extensive agricultural knowledge. Jodi supports small business owners and start ups in Garrett County through counseling and business planning. The SBDC office is co-located at Garrett County College in the GIEC (Garrett Information Enterprise Center).
